I knew Judith Deacon only as a neighbor on my street a few houses away on the opposite side. The last reunion her email address was listed and I sent her some correspondence. I knew that in the High School years Judith was interested in teaching and in fact had a summer school for the neighborhood kids, all were girls, I think. My sister attended.
She did tell me of a teaching career but moved on to a criminal-counseling career with a Masters Degree.
We lost touch as often happens and I was sad to learn of her passing.
I loved Judy. She was a true and blue friend; had an infectious laugh that could brighten the darkest day; and her kindness and gentle nature made this world a better place. Even now, as I write, I smile with tears in remembering her kindness, her belief in others' goodness, and her smile that made my days so much better. I miss you, Judy!
